The coronavirus disease (CoVID-19) is a newly known virus first identified in the capital of China’s Hubei Province, Wuhan. The total cases have shown some significant growth over the course of three months, surpassing 100,000 cases, which results in temporarily closed companies, flights being grounded, and worst of all, panic. As we might already experience, the effect of coronavirus disease can be seen in every aspect of our daily life. Thus, in this article, Iklima Alviani talks about the impact of coronavirus disease on the global economy. Highlighting the impact on Indonesian economy, panic selling, and the possibility of global recession based on past data during viral outbreaks.
